This is the Community Service Club IMU (CSC)!!
The Community Service Club of IMU serves as a platform to enable student volunteers to give back to society through service encompassing education, empowerment and healthcare. Among the projects organised by our club are ‘Children’s Home of Hope’ for children receiving treatment for cancer, ‘Agathians Home Tutor’ whereby we tutor underprivileged children mainly on Mathematics and ‘Locks of Hope’ which is a hair donation project to make wigs for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Besides that, our club also collaborates with Women’s Aid Organisation which provides free shelter, counselling and crisis support to women and children who face abuse. We also conduct projects such as ‘SMILE Project’ in collaboration with The PERTIWI Soup Kitchen for the homeless, ‘Play, Learn, Grow’ where we teach English to 9 and 10-year olds at the Ti-Ratana Home, ‘Teddy Mobile Clinic’ where free medical care is provided to the homeless and the urban poor, ‘Giving Vision’ aimed towards assisting the blind community and ‘Project Connected’ which is an annual community service project conducted to help underprivileged communities overseas. Through our club, students have the opportunity to work together to extend a helping hand to those in need and improve the quality of lives of the less fortunate.
